Brigadier Kevin O’Brien was appointed to the Defence Honours and Awards Appeals Tribunal as a member in August 2014 for three years, and was re-appointed in August 2017 for a further year.

Since leaving the military in 1998 at the rank of Brigadier, Kevin O’Brien has been involved in the commercial world as a successful business man, and board member.  Brigadier O’Brien has served on the Board of the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, worked as a senior executive in Defence Housing Australia, and been a consultant to major infrastructure providers.

Brigadier O’Brien’s Army service spanned more than three decades, including operational service in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971.
